![]() ![]() ![]() When plugged into my PC running windows 10 is where it gets weird but sort of hopeful. Both WD Utility and Disk Utility recognize the drive name, the partition names, and the file systems of each partition. I can use the WD security application and make changes as well. The WD Utility registers the device and says it's healthy. When it is plugged into my Mac running Catalina, neither appear in the finder and the disks appear in DiskUtility as unmounted, and will time out when attempting to mount. It has 2 partitions, one is exFat and the other is MacOS Ext. ![]() Due to our current circumstances I figured I would dive into trying to recover it. I have an old WD MyBook 4TB that mostly contains photos and such and I haven't used it in a few years nor did I have a backup of it because it wasn't very important to me. ![]()
